There was a consensus also in the Qumran text from the Dead Sea Scrolls and other contexts that we can identify, but also in the historians like Flavius Yisifos. And it is a very similar understanding of the stars in that context, partly platonic, partly stoic understanding of the agency of stars and so on. But apart from that, there's a huge practice and an interesting science around that that is relevant also for religious understanding. Astrology was a major interpretation tool for politics, for culture, for history in the Roman Empire, particularly in the imperial age.
