When revolutionary leaders from around the world wanted to speak to the african diaspirant rica, it wasn't to elay or oakland or chicago that they came. In california, we were more american. And when the cold war started to be radicalized in prison, it was the new yorkers who had followed malcolm's path to turn hot against the cops.
