The Internet Is the End of History

We experience commercial manipulation more than wexthankfully, i think, than we experience political manipulation. But the point is, just as computers don't care if you're nakedthat they don't care the uses to which these techniques are being put. The idea that the government should be able to read everything you youou write, or listen to everything you say, nobody ou you a talk to wat politically unfeasible. We all care about our place in society and our autonomy when it comes to political power.
