Plato wrote dialogue not treatises, he did not sit down and put pen to paper or papyrus. He instead constructed narratives almost O is about Socrates,. The entire text that we are going to be reading is the words of Socrates to some audience. We never really find out who the audience is but the whole thing is a narration by Socrates.
