The Holocaust and the Nazis

In the last days of the occupation, german troops and hungarian nazes assembled around the jewish ghetto in preparation for a massacre. Wallenberg confronted the nazi commander ing him that if he allowed the attack on the ghetto to go forward, wallenberg would see to it that he was hanged after the war. The frightened narzy, who knew hitler was about to be defeated, called off the assault. It's believed that he was transported to moscow and held in a lubianca prison. He never saw his friends or family again.
