The city of lindsey didn't do a sequa study before they allowed for their licensing to take place. In order to get a california license, you have to either have an exemption from sequa or another report that suggests your business isn't going to be detrimental to the environment. "It took three weeks of me going back and forth trying to explain that this was part of the process," she says.
