The Will Is Like the Sensation Appetites
The will is a power. Aristotle distinguishes between cognitive and impetitive powers, but he doesn't clearly distinguish between ampetitive powers that cause motion. You haven't thomas aquinas as the fruits of centuries of reflection on the nature of appetite. I see the food and i desire it, or my dog does. My dog loves it, goes towards the food. Another dog gets in the way, and he bites it. Ok, you have this whole rich emotional life in the dog. This is a petative. It involves goods, bad actions. But really, it's the whole person that well, you might say, what wat about in hell? No, ok, no.
