How Rare Is It to Get a Double Yoke?
In about one in every thousand eggs, a hen just boops out an extra yolke. Usually younger hens do it more frequently. Some traditions say it's really good luck or that someone in the family is going to get knocked up with twins. According to norse legends, it's an ominous sign that death will visit.
