The Truth About Jesus

When we gather, when we're gathered at this very moment, our secrets are actually known. To stand up here is to say, I'm a disciple of Jesus and I'm moving towards Jesus. And out of utter mercy and grace, Jesus offers his life, his death, his resurrection to me. That reality denies me right to ever think that I am on this side of the line against some other person instead of Jesus. It's me and you as disciples who look to Jesus as the one who meets us in our most shame and brokenness and regret.
