The Battle of Colodon

The battle of colodon took place on april sixteenth, 17 forty six. It was the final struggle for the jacobites to reinstate this stuart throne. The idea was to launch a surprise attack on cumberland's forces because they were celebrating his birthday the night before. However, that never happened because promises of support of troops and money did not materialise. By the time he got to collodin, charles's men had marched all night for a surprise attack. One thousand 250 jacobite died and 376 were taken as prisoners,. whereas the government lost 50 troops and 300 wounded.
