The Chief Calculus of Happiness
Human beings are going to have some of the more extraordinary twists and turns of self destructive behavior. A chief part of that is going to be things that we see in the ego trap. In other words, your you're thinking, your group or you did something terrible to the tribe, and the only way you can atone for it is to kill yourself. That's a ah thtyou could see how the nervous system could run that calculus. So i don't believe that the ego trap exists in the animal kingdom.
