The Disparities in Pay and Media Rights Between Women and Men
FIFA has said in order to reach this equal parity in cut prize, better media rights need to happen for the women. FIFA kept rejecting low offer bids for months and months on end. But as we got closer to the tournament, roughly a month out, they still hadn't reached a deal with major European countries. And so finally, FIFA had accepted a bid from BBC, which again, we think it's around 9 to 10 million - about 5 to 6% of what the men's rights are worth.
