Just reading the room is so critical. And I think that that also helps you connect with the other person or people in the room so much more. So when you do speak, you have something good to say, something important, something that will mean something to the people around you. It's often not entertaining if someone tells you a story about a crazy bike ride they had for you to tell your crazy bike ride because that's repetition. That's what 5th graders do in class all the time.
