I was asked one year to put together the mobile strategy for Google and what should Google do in mobile. One of the things I suggested was, well, should we go and do a handset? Because that gives you way more control over the experience. And then at the same time, Andy Rubin was starting Android after starting danger. That's why if you look at the very first Android device, it has both a keyboard as well as a flip up to have a touchscreen because the iPhone had a test screen and it was so revolutionary.
