The Writer's Guild Strike at Cannes

Cannes felt like a complete bubble far removed from the US film and television industry this year. WGA members who were also directors there, like Wes Anderson, James Mangold, Martin Scorsese, Todd Haynes all promoting their movies as normal. Bob Iger was there and got a shout out during the premiere of the Indiana Jones movie. David Zasloff threw a much covered splashy party at the Hotel du Cap with Gregon Carter. It seems like everyone is kind of making up their own rules as they go.
