The internet is a terrifying place, like you can get ostracized so quickly and to such an extreme degree. A recent study looked at 130 million twub viewing sessions of people looking for evidence of the proverbial rabbit hole. This research team couldn't find any evidence that people were going down rabbit holes. The bigger issue here is not just that social medias are optimized for outrage; it's because they're all supposed to go viral. That's this oltle point of social metia gang: If if we want backthe guts of social media, why does it have to be that way?
