Are Psychotropic, Psychoactive Drugs Worth the Risk?

The placebo effect, is that justification for taking powerful, psychoactive drugs? In my opinion, probably not. No one knows how long it takes for somebody to become dependent on these drugs. So if you choose to take these because, a, they have a numbing effect and might help you in a few months, or again, is it worth the risk? I don't think it is, personally, to be honest. But what i do say is everybody should be informed about these drugs which are slightly different.
