Since pneumococcal vaccination has become more widespread the rates of complicated pneumonia seem to have increased. And so it's something that we're seeing kind of not uncommonly in the acute care setting. When we see a plural effusion or some type of fluid build up in the lung, how do we determine whether it's a parent-emmonative fusion or Empaima or lung abscess?
