Since pneumococcal vaccination has become more widespread the rates of complicated pneumonia seem to have increased. And so it's something that we're seeing kind of not uncommonly in the acute care setting. When we see a plural effusion or some type of fluid build up in the lung, how do we determine whether it's a parent-emmonative fusion or Empaima or lung abscess? We typically do a few things I think chest x-rays the first the start. Lung ultrasound can be incredibly useful in a kid with a plural effusions. They often will image the kid laying down and moving around and see if that effusion kind of layers or sees whether it seems to
