Takahashi Oishi: The physiology of all mammals is going to be very, very similar. And so there's generally a lot of overlap than not. So we're basically seeing at every level of the hormones, we're seeing a shift toward the stress hormones and away from the reproductive hormones. He says that even if you don't have a randomized controlled trial in humans, research done in animals can still provide useful information. Takahashi: BPA has adverse effects on the hormonal system as well as the reproductive system.
