Is God Just in Hardening a Group of People?

There is no reason in scripture anywhere that mankind is unable to believe the inspired truth of the apostles. Where's the gentile as coming to the table and saying, i can't do it. Haven't earned it. I've already messed up too much. I'm too much of a sinner. Oh, beating his chest and tearing his clothes and saying, god, have mercy on me, a weak sinner. And they are attaining righteousness. Why? Because they're pursuing it, not by works, not by trying harder, not by desire and effort. No, they're giving up andand they're saying, god,.  I need you to save me here.
