The Promise of Salvation
Like so many of the Jews at this time, they were all expecting the Messiah to be like a military leader. He came not to free us from oppression in an earthly sense, but from our oppression to sin. The entire New Testament after the gospels is about persecution. And I would encourage you to pray with your apes. Pray with your desires because this is the poor shadowings of the Old Testament. Our promise of what is to come, our apes, our promise.
