I think you more than anybody I've read about King points out that he was really religious this was not just a strategic institution to use for driving civil rights but it was a very important thing. So religion was an important early influence on him. If you look at the influences of Gandhi and neighbor absolutely he's an intellectual and he's learning from them. He says no I can't do that because the Bible doesn't say you know you pick your battles the Bible says we have to oppose injustice everywhere we have to impose war everywhere. That's in addition to the foundation that he's already got which is the teachings of Jesus.
