Is the Private Sector Innovating?
The private sector is innovating, and it's already operating systems that are somewhat similar to what we are proposing. But the private sector cannot tokenize central bank reserves. The private sector can tokenize their own deposits, but that is never as liquid in this trustworthy as tokenizing central bank funds. So there's a role, there's a clear role for the public sector relative to what the private sector is doing. And so I'm confident that it is both feasible and desirable"
