Caesar's Invasion of the Near East

Caesar was just sort of an instrument of the state at that point. This war was absolutely, it would have been an instrument of caesar's glory. There were pretty high stakes. Like money wasif if you could actually conquer the near east, it wouldn't have sot. He became immensely powerful dictator for life. It led to his death, and then his succession led to another huge civil war.
