"I'm the Illuminati" is a semi-weekly series where bad businesses go to die. We will discuss any and everything from bad charities, terrible CEOs, and businesses that have a lot to hide. Today on the last day of Pride Month, I want to discuss something that's been on my mind a bit: queerbaiting for cash. It's usually used as a marketing technique where creators or companies hint at an LGBTQ plus relationship to sort of check a box and gain support from that. This does not mean that if an openly LGBTQ character is single or doesn't end up in a relationship, the character is queerbaiting.
