Is There a Virtue in Animals?

Kant is not saying you shouldn't care about animals. He's just talking about the raw concept of obligation. Others, too, uses of the word virtue here cant recognized that there were virtues like courage and compassion which don't fall within ethical obligation but are still desirable.
