The Inflation Reduction Act Is a Fantastic and Important Piece of Legislation

The inflation reduction act has a bunch of tax credits for electrifying things and reducing the carbon intensity of the electricity system. I think we're going to see the effective end of coal within the decade from now. We just released a report yesterday that argues that 99% of the coal plants in America are now uneconomic compared to renewables. That doesn't mean all power plants go overnight, but it's a great tail wind.
