Act and Potency - A New Distinctive

The act potency distinction is found not only in the corporeal world, but also in the incorporeal world. Sometimes actuality is called just plain act even when it's not a case of action. Some cases of potency are found in the merely corporeal world. Plants have the potency to draw water up through their roots; cats kill mice and humans give philosophy talks. If potencies are found in all these areas, so also are actualities or acts.
