How Dolby's Royalty Pricing Model Has Changed Over Time

Dolby's core revenue model is licensing its technology to third parties. And in return, those manufacturers need to pay a royalty every time they sell a device. How has that royalty decided? What's the royalty pricing mechanism? It's commercially sensitive. Dolby doesn't give us much help here. They will say it ranges from cents to dollars. I'd say probably something like a dollar per device is the average royalty blended across all the different product categories.
