Tim linton is a professor of climate change and earth system science at the university of exeter. His recent er in transitecology and evolution, or tree, focuses on the survival of systems. He argues that persistence of life is possible through self perpetuating feedback cycles which involve both living and non living parts. In other words, i like to think of the system necessarily ties together the living and the non living parts to a degree.
