Conservators Are Intimately Embracing Objects

The condition report is the examination that conservators conduct whenever an object crosses their bench. Condition reports are also used just a quick note. They are used for legal purposes. And I'm intimately involved with this garment in a way that very, very few people in its life probably have been. We're looking for things that are an issue or a problem with the dress and that furthermore could potentially further damage the dress if it's not addressed.
