The future is not uncool or cool. The people hating on threads are the cool, snarky kids. Threads isn't just an opportunistic extension on Meta's empire and on Instagram. It thrust at the market by exploiting one social graph and dragging it from pictures to text. And the outcome of it is an experience that doesn't feel interesting nor good. But it's going to work. Because we brought all this on ourselves with optimization. And the future is uncool because it's just optimization.
