How to Experiment in the Essay?

I think you can get deeper in shetland, and again, there's a perception of it as a small place, but i think it's a very deep place. I'm trying to just follow am what the land and the sea are throwing at me as i try to write about them. So much of our experience is beyond language, but of course, when we write it down, then there's this kind of feeling that you can capture something that is deep and layered in a linear way. But it's a bit of an illusion tally, a bit of slate, a hand, i suppose.
