Are There Songs That Just Sound Like the Numbers on an Album?
Some songs just exist and they're fined. They've got all the component parts, but they don't really serve any other purpose than to make up the numbers on a record. That bothers me more than, oh, they've ripped that bit off erarcus or music is derivative. If you want to connect with a wide audience, you can't nate them totally by just throwing non stop surprises at them. But it's about getting the balance right, isn't it? Because where depends what sort of artist you are, i suppose.
