Evolution of Flowers and Flowering Plants
Flowering plants are champions a connecting to other sp below ground. They connect with nitrogen fixing bacteria at least ten different evolutionary events where nitrogen fixing bacteria gomed on to flowering plants. And then above ground, the flowering plants and their fruits co evolve with insect polinates and with seed disperses and with herbivores. This back and forwth evolution between plant, flowering plants and insects, and then indirectly, mammalsd and rept and and birds, unleashed an enormous explosion in diversity.
