Agan neither one of her parents, her mother had an eighth grade education and her father hadn't gone to college. She was deeply inspired by the progressive movement in wisconsin,. The first state to ratify the nineteenth amendment in 19 19 and grant women the right to vote. And so these were the beginningsand mildred, i think, from those early beginnings, and from her acquaintance with strife, that served her well later on in germany.
