Larvalabs - Is That Detrimental to Punks?

The board ape yacht club launched. I remember thinking, ok, i'm not aesthetically drawn to these things, but i want to understand this commune. And it was clear to me that the conversation was like, i'm priced out of punks. This is my new punks, where we're creating something new together. But then to see just how they've executed, i in terms of derivative works and keeping te product alive. It feels like these things have to be to be successful long term.
