The First Punic War

I mean what's happening around the the time of the first Punic war anyway well and it really gathers pace up to the next couple ones is that inequality really is spinning out of control in Rome. You've got to do something with you know this massive city and everybody else who is disempowered um so yeah you conquer more lands, says John boat. I think there's a sense that war was beneficial for yes the people who mattered in Rome and it really didn't seem to be beneficial except maybe for the barker clan if they'd managed to start their own empire in sphain but that project never came off.
