The Theory Is a Waste of Time

With deep learning, you don't even know what the theory is. The old theorists who were trained as theorists never to touch and to look down on people who had worked wiit with the data are retiring. And often the theory follows the empirical work that they do - if there's a theory at all. People like bob frank daniel conoman have introduced new ideas about concerning behaviour or how people think. They've been attempts to bring some of these ideas into text books, but a the they don't define the main stream yet.
