Since 2010, 632 American coal plants have shut down and no new ones are planned. Solar panel installations are growing 50% a year; the price of solar has crashed 90%. Last year for the first time in history, we got more power from renewable energy than we did from coal. It'll take something like 80 years to fully decarbonize - but I believe we will do it.
