Floe Passing - Is the Leg Pummelling a Good Idea?

The leg pummelling battle is one of the big things in floe passing. If i'm elevated into a position where i'm riding my opponent's butterfly hooks, it's going to be very easy for them to now shoot a leg through and get a control of my leg if i don't know what i'm doing. So this is really important when we're trying to avoid getting leg locked or our guard passing. Achieving that angle will make that guard much more effective and help me keep a in much better line. I used to find it really, really hard to submit guys from closed guard. You probably want to try to turn 90 degrees before you finish an armbar
