Women Are Attracted Like the Moths of the Flame
Women are magnetically attracted to men with violent tendencies. They're not very good at analyzing why the man has on. Often the violence of a man like that is entirely arbitrary. He wants free access to other women, but he doesn't want his woman and to have free access to others. These things are rather incompatible. So the violence is a means of keeping the woman under control. Eventually it doesn't work, because eventually usually the woman leaves. But when she leaves, she goes and finds some one who is almost obviously of the same time.
