The Importance of Zen in the Late 60s

In the late 60s and early 70s, Bob Dylan became involved in political action. He says he felt like he had run out of script from his life; was looking for a new place to practice. After reading Philip Capo's "Three Colors of Zen," he found Buddhism at Berkeley Zen Center. The Buddhist Peace Fellowship helped him realize that social and political action were not necessarily two completely distinct realms.
