The Prussian Army Wanted to Fight
In 1806, Prussia was on the brink of war with France. Conditions were much less favorable for a war than they had been a year earlier. Only one small ally stood by Prussia's side, the Kingdom of Saxony. Many in Europe still considered the Prussian army the best in Europe.
