Is the Past Beyond Our Control?

In ordinary circumstances, the past in no way depends on any of our choices. But if that's the reason why the past is beyond our control, because it doesn't ordinarily doesn't depend on our choices, well then we should be more open to the idea that maybe we do have a choice about that part of the past at least. If time travel were possible, there would be lots of options available to us in terms of what we could do with some kind of power over the past. Seems exactly what dependent solution delivers.
