Prisoners of war can have a huge impact on conflicts in a way that i don't think is is really appreciated. atrocities committed against prisoners of war can also harden the resolve of a nation to resist a an occupier or an aggressor, or vice versa. If what ukrane did in the very early stages of this conflict, when they essentially said, we are going to treat russian s well and let their mothers come and collect them from the border ar because we don't blame some of these conscripts.
