The Energy of a Young Woman
I feel some kind of energy as if someone is staring at me. I'm compelled to look up and when I do, I see this painting. It's an oil-cavus portrait of a young woman who looks a little bit older than me. She's wearing a green blouse, and her hair is tight in a bun. The woman is facing forward, and I feel as if she has her eyes fixed on me. But it doesn't feel like an optical illusion. The painting is actually staring at me."
