How Much Weight Should You Train For?

The Australian Ballet's Sue Mays and Ebony Rio share a benchmark for calf raises in the gym. It can be hard to derive these or stick to them, but I think it's nice to give people some objective sort of number that they know might be a good level to work towards. That could be 0.3 to 0.4 times up to as high as 0.5 times our body weight. For me, that might be anywhere from 80 to 120 kilos on a single leg. A bit heavier than the body weight calf raise. But yeah, we need to get beyond that when we're talking about higher workloads.
