Can You Deduce From Pure Reason That Something Exists?
Russell: Sometimes there can be contradictions that people don't see. It is actually possible to see that something exists just by reason, i think it's a principal of reason that there are prime numbers between two and ten. And this is something that richard swinburne has done some work towards that challenge, but it's an open challenge. Bet we have to see that there's no way to deduce a contradiction. If i could just add one more point here about this, in my view, it’s not as though russell gave an argument that has,. it has as its conclusion that there is nothing such that its denial is not contradictory.
