Schopenhauer's Philosophy of the Numbers

Ryant: Schopenhauer believed he was breaking through to the numenon. This is an ontological claim. He's literally talking about will as the fundamental nature of reality. We all have these objects which we represent to ourselves, says Ryant. But we have this one object which we can see the inside of, which is our own body. And what we find on the inside of the body exists within all phenomena. All phenomena are the objectification of a reality which is not itself divided or different. The world as we know it. No amount of science can ever break us out of the limitations of empiricism.
